FNT 018 Sashiori Japanese Workwear Jacket
Workwear jacket that blends Japanese and American workwear elements.
Design Note:
The idea was to talk about the origins of two workwear traditions. We have 100% natural indigo-dyed sashiori fabric from Japan, a soft but tough fabric used in workwear and martial arts. This is then enzyme-washed to create an aged look.
The silhouette borrows from the American hunting/workwear jackets with a corduroy collar and a zip-front.
Styling Note:
This is a light jacket great for transitional spring/autmun 'elbow' seasons. Wear with a t-shirt and jeans/workwear pants.
Natural Indigo
This garment is dyed using natural indigo—an artisanal process that creates a rich, evolving colour that softens and patinas over time. As with all traditionally dyed indigo, some colour transfer may occur, especially onto lighter fabrics or upholstery. We recommend machine washing sparingly and separately (line-dry), avoiding contact with light-coloured garments at first, and embracing the slow fade that makes each piece uniquely yours.
